SolarGun launched on July 28, 2017. The developer shipped one post-launch content update: the "Year Edition" on July 27, 2018, which added new levels, a redesigned level selector, two new language options, and gameplay improvements. That update was delivered as a free update and fulfilled the developer's prior promise (made on July 13, 2018) to upload new content soon. At the close of the Year Edition announcement, the developer noted they "would like to add some new content" but emphasized they wanted to hear player feedback first — a soft, non-committal expression of interest rather than a firm announcement. No specific future content, roadmap, or DLC has been announced since that post. There have been no developer communications of any kind after July 27, 2018. Given that the only post-launch content drop occurred in July 2018, the developer's vague forward-looking statement was never followed up with any concrete announcement, and nearly eight years have passed since the last communication, the game is best understood as a complete, finished product.
