Songs of Silence launched on November 13, 2024, and Chimera Entertainment has maintained an active and consistent post-launch development cadence ever since. Three paid expansions have shipped: Lighteaters (February 20, 2025), Celestial Church (December 16, 2025), and Crownless King (May 7, 2026). That's roughly one major expansion every 3–5 months. Beyond expansions, the team has also shipped regular feature patches and balance updates — the most recent being Update 1.9.2 on June 12, 2026, just nine days before today's date. The developer published a public roadmap on September 16, 2025, outlining plans through mid-2026, including DLC 2 (now shipped as Celestial Church), a multiplayer upgrade, and DLC 3. An updated roadmap on March 11, 2026 confirmed DLC 3 (which became the Crownless King expansion, released May 7, 2026) was still on track, while noting that a previously planned Location Management 2.0 feature was being set aside. The March roadmap also included the line "keep Songs of Silence going on," signaling continued developer commitment. No specific next expansion has been announced following the Crownless King release, but the game's history of regular expansions on a 3–5 month cadence, combined with a development team that was still shipping game updates as recently as June 12, 2026, strongly indicates the game remains in active development. No developer statement has indicated that content development is wrapping up.
