SoulWorker is a free-to-play massively multiplayer online action RPG that has been operating continuously since its Steam launch on May 12, 2021. The game is built around an ongoing live service model: it features a rotating cash shop with limited-time collaboration costumes (most recently a SoulWorker × Last Origin crossover that launched on August 28, 2025), gacha-style "Transmission" systems for Akashic Records and Soul Mates, a paid "SoulWorker PLUS" subscription that delivers daily rewards, and regular bi-weekly or monthly maintenance windows that deliver game updates and seasonal events. The developer (VALOFE) has maintained a consistent cadence of bi-weekly maintenance patches throughout 2024, 2025, and into 2026 — with the most recent maintenance logged on May 13–14, 2026.
