Evaluation
Spacebase DF-9 launched out of Early Access on October 27, 2014. In the announcement leading up to that release, posted on September 17, 2014, Double Fine explicitly stated that after 1.0 any new content would be in the hands of the modding community: "We'll of course be sticking around a bit for bug fixing and support, but any new content for the game will now be in your hands." This was a direct developer statement that no further official content was planned beyond the 1.0 release.
Following the 1.0 launch, Double Fine released a series of bug-fix and polish patches (1.01 through 1.06) between October 27 and November 14, 2014, addressing crashes, balance issues, and stability problems. The final recorded update, version 1.06 on November 14, 2014, focused on mod support improvements and bug fixes — consistent with the promised post-launch support window. No further updates or communications have been posted since November 14, 2014.
There are no unreleased DLC listings, no announced future content, and no developer roadmap beyond what was delivered. The game shipped as a complete package, and the developer explicitly handed off further content development to the modding community. This game has been content-complete since November 14, 2014.
Evidence
1.0 launched with tutorial mode and goals system. Developer thanked players and noted they would roll out minor updates in the following days or weeks to fix issues — consistent with a wrap-up support window rather than ongoing content development.
