Evaluation
Squally launched out of Early Access on July 22, 2023, after several years of development. At that time, the developer explicitly stated this was not the final update, listing several pieces of work still in progress: an unfinished Snow chapter, level design polish, localization improvements, gameplay polish (sound effects, music, animations), and the possibility of additional mini-games. This made clear that more content was intended to follow the 1.0 launch.
However, the July 22, 2023 launch post is the last official communication from the developer. As of June 27, 2026, nearly three years have passed with no follow-up posts, patch notes, or announcements of any kind. The promised Snow chapter and other improvements have never been confirmed as delivered or cancelled. This extended silence — far beyond what the prior development cadence would suggest — means it is impossible to confirm whether the remaining planned content is still being worked on, has been quietly abandoned, or was silently shipped without a news post. Anyone waiting for the Snow chapter or other promised content cannot currently determine its status.
Evidence
Developer confirmed the 1.0 / Early Access exit is not the final update, explicitly listing remaining work: unfinished Snow chapter, level design polish, localization updates, gameplay polish, and potentially more mini-games.
This is the last developer communication on record. No posts, patches, or announcements have been made since this date — a gap of nearly three years as of June 2026.

This game does not assume you have any background in programming. Anybody can play!
However do not fear! Assembly language is not as hard as people think! Unfortunately, it is often taught in a very poor manner. Squally is a game to solve this problem by assembly language approachable and fun.
Supplementary topics like binary and hex are taught through puzzles and gameplay.
Note: Linux and Mac builds teach x64 assembly, whereas Windows teaches x86 assembly. This is due to technical constraints on the compilers used for each platform.
