Starlight Re:Volver launched into Early Access on August 27, 2025, but its development story has since taken a definitive turn. On November 20, 2025, Pahdo Labs posted a candid update revealing that poor sales had forced layoffs of half the team and a major studio restructuring. Shortly after, on December 22, 2025, the developer confirmed that a patch released that day was the final major update for the game, and that the servers had been shut down — transitioning the game from an online multiplayer experience to a fully offline, solo-only game. The store description prominently displays a notice of end of live service, confirming the game will no longer receive game updates beyond occasional major bug fixes and technical maintenance. All cosmetics have been unlocked for all players as part of this wind-down. While the game is still purchasable and playable, the developer has explicitly stated development is over. The game technically remains in Early Access by Steam's flag, as it has not received a 1.0 graduation — but the developer has closed out active development entirely, making a full release unlikely. The original July 2025 roadmap promising quarterly updates and a 2026 full launch was overtaken by financial reality within months of launch.
