StarRupture launched into Early Access on January 6, 2026. Two days later, Creepy Jar published a roadmap (January 8, 2026) outlining their development plans for the Early Access period and beyond, including a signal that something "big" is planned for the 1.0 launch. The first major content update (Update 1) shipped on April 9, 2026, adding a significantly expanded map, new playable zones, two new resources (Goethite and Powerium), nine new buildings, six upgraded-tier buildings, a zipline traversal system, a wildlife system with three new creature types, expanded corporation levels, and over 40 new items and recipes. This demonstrated that the team is actively and substantively delivering on their roadmap. Since Update 1, the developer has continued issuing stability and quality-of-life patches through mid-June 2026. More importantly, developer blogs published on June 19 and August 5, 2026 — the most recent being just nine days before today — are actively previewing Update 2. The June blog explicitly states Update 1 was "packed with new content... necessary for us to further expand the game towards the 1.0 release," and the August blog previews new building features being prepared for the next update. This confirms the team is communicating regularly and that another major content update is actively in development. The game remains in Early Access and is on a clear trajectory of ongoing major content additions, with the developer actively communicating about what's coming next.
