Palworld officially launched version 1.0 today, July 10, 2026, graduating from Early Access after approximately 18 months in that phase (since January 2024). The 1.0 release is a massive update: it adds 72 new Pals (bringing the total to 287), a brand-new sky island called Sunreach, the long-awaited World Tree storyline and ending scenario, new mechanics including Awakening and Mutation for Pals, a major rework of Partner Skills, overhauls to base building and multiplayer, and large-scale graphical improvements.
Throughout Early Access, Pocketpair delivered a strong cadence of substantial updates: the Crossplay update (v0.5.0, March 19, 2025), the Tides of Terraria collaboration (v0.6.0, June 25, 2025), and Home Sweet Home (v0.7.0, December 17, 2025). The January 2025 anniversary roadmap outlined many features planned for the road to 1.0 — including crossplay, Pal world transfers, the World Tree, and game collaborations — all of which have now shipped as part of the 1.0 release or preceding updates.
Because the game launched just today, it is too early to determine whether Pocketpair intends to continue adding major content post-1.0. The developer has not announced any specific post-launch DLC or expansion plans. The only DLC currently on the store is the official soundtrack (released January 19, 2024). Given the studio's strong history of updates during Early Access and the game's enormous player base (over 427,000 reviews), continued post-launch support seems plausible, but no commitments have been made publicly as of today.
