Evaluation
Starstruck: Hands of Time launched on September 16, 2024 and received a handful of post-launch updates. The most substantial was a December 15, 2024 patch that added a new playable song ("Moldy Jack") and various bug fixes, and a January 7, 2025 update that improved the improvisation rhythm gameplay system. These represent the full post-launch content additions the developer made.
The clearest signal about the game's future came in the developer's one-year anniversary post on September 16, 2025. In it, the solo developer (Max) candidly shared that due to financial difficulties and low commercial interest in Starstruck, he has taken a full-time programming job that occupies nearly all of his time, including nights and weekends. He reflected on the game in a past-tense, retrospective tone — describing it as "one of the few things in my life I'm happy that I got to be part of making" — and did not announce or hint at any future updates or content. The post's tone is unmistakably that of a creator who has moved on.
There is only one DLC listed, the soundtrack, which shipped on launch day. No unreleased DLC exists. The developer has made no announcements of future content at any point. Given the developer's explicit statement that he is no longer able to pursue his creative projects due to his new job, and the absence of any forward-looking content plans, the game appears to be complete as of the December 15, 2024 update — the last substantive content addition.
Evidence
On the game's one-year anniversary, the solo developer disclosed he has taken a full-time job working on advertising systems due to financial pressures and low interest in Starstruck, leaving him almost no time for creative work. He reflected on the game in a retrospective, closing tone with no mention of future updates or content plans.
Update added a new playable song (Moldy Jack) to Free Play mode along with bug fixes. This is the last piece of new content added to the game.

About this game
Play guitar in an interactive rock opera
Play guitar in musical story segments, with a catchy soundtrack featuring live instruments and singing by Elsie Lovelock. If you still have your Guitar Hero or Rock Band guitar controller, dust it off, because this game supports it!
Destroy the world as a giant human hand
Demolish houses, solve puzzles, and open new paths for other characters as a giant hand. Unleash your destructive potential using hammers, screwdrivers, and more.
A strange game set in a miniature world
Save the future by exploring the strange diorama world of 20XX. Meet weirdly cute characters and unravel the mystery of how their little lives are connected to the end of mankind.

No rhythm? No problem
If you want to experience the music and story without the stresses of rhythm gameplay, you can enable "Autoplay" in the options menu. When Autoplay is enabled, the rhythm gameplay sections will play themselves.
