Stranded: Alien Dawn

Stranded: Alien Dawn launched out of Early Access on April 25, 2023, following a productive Early Access period during which Haemimont Games delivered multiple substantial updates. After launch, the game received a free Jungle Update on June 29, 2023 — adding a new biome, survivor, and gameplay systems — and then the Robots and Guardians paid DLC plus an accompanying free update on November 7, 2023, bringing service robots, automated defenses, a new scenario, and multi-story buildings. Both DLC listed on the store are released. No unreleased DLC entries exist in the store listing. The last developer communication of any substance was the April 16, 2025 announcement that Paradox Interactive acquired the game from Frontier Developments. Importantly, that post is a publishing/ownership announcement — it welcomes the game into the Paradox family and expresses enthusiasm for the community, but contains no statement about future content, upcoming DLC, or plans for additional development. It does not announce a new roadmap or confirm that further updates are in progress. Looking at the post-1.0 content cadence: the Jungle Update shipped roughly two months after the 1.0 launch (June 2023), and the Robots and Guardians DLC followed approximately five months after that (November 2023). Since November 7, 2023, no major content has shipped — a span of over 18 months as of today (June 25, 2026). The publisher change announcement on April 16, 2025 falls well outside the established ~5-month content cadence and contains no forward-looking content commitments. There are no unreleased DLC, no announced roadmap, no outstanding commitments from the developer. The publisher acquisition is worth noting as a potentially ambiguous signal — a new publisher taking ownership could precede new content, but absent any explicit statement of planned updates, it cannot be treated as evidence of upcoming content. The acquisition post itself says nothing about future development plans. Given 18+ months of silence on the content front since the last major release, no announced upcoming content, and all listed DLC fully shipped, the game appears to have reached a complete state as of the Robots and Guardians DLC launch in November 2023. The confidence is medium rather than high because the Paradox acquisition introduces mild ambiguity — a new publisher relationship could conceivably lead to new announcements, but nothing has been stated publicly to that effect.
