Straya launched on November 16, 2023 and has been actively developed since. Ayrtech has maintained a consistent cadence of updates throughout the game's life, including 5 major content drops and 14 feature patches across roughly two and a half years. Significant additions include the Bunkers Update (October 2024), which introduced new enemy types, weapons, and locations, as well as ongoing additions like truck delivery jobs, new roads, and gameplay systems. The February 2026 update (v1.271) explicitly mentions that a "Survivor update continues in development," signaling that new content is actively being worked on beyond what has already shipped. The most recent communication from the developer was on June 12, 2026 (v1.283), demonstrating that the studio is currently active and engaged. There is no indication from the developer that development is winding down or complete.
