Suicide Guy launched on July 14, 2017 and has received a long history of post-launch updates. A major content update (version 1.80) shipped on May 10, 2023, adding 6 new levels, new graphics options, additional languages, and other improvements. The store description also notes "+3 extra new ones!" levels beyond the original 25, reflecting content added since launch.
On September 20, 2025, the developer explicitly announced that new updates with new levels, a multiplayer mode, and a Nintendo Switch 2 enhanced edition are coming for Suicide Guy. On February 16, 2026, the developer reaffirmed the studio is actively working on a sequel and invited players to participate in a future beta.
Most recently, on September 10, 2026, the developer celebrated Suicide Guy passing 1,000,000 copies sold and confirmed the brand-new sequel is currently in development. None of the content promised in September 2025 (new levels, multiplayer, Switch 2 edition) has been confirmed as shipped, and the developer remains actively engaged with the Suicide Guy series. The studio has not indicated that updates to the original game are finished.
