SUPER DISTRO

SUPER DISTRO launched on July 22, 2015 as a hard 2D platformer made by a solo developer. At launch, the developer announced plans for 17 additional free levels and solicited community feedback on the existing content. The game received its first substantial update on August 4, 2015 (version 1.1), which added a new level and various fixes. However, negative reception prompted the developer to acknowledge the game's shortcomings on August 26, 2015, committing to a major overhaul rewritten from scratch. On November 6, 2015, the developer announced this rewritten version ("SUPER DISTRO DX: Director's Cut") was nearly complete and expected within "a few weeks," even releasing a free soundtrack for it. That November 6, 2015 post is the last official communication from the developer. There have been no further announcements, updates, patch notes, or developer posts since that date — a silence stretching over a decade to today (June 27, 2026). The promised major overhaul and the 17 planned free levels were never confirmed as shipped. Despite this, given the extraordinary length of the silence — more than ten years with no communication of any kind — it is reasonable to conclude that development has long since ended, the game was effectively abandoned in its post-November 2015 state, and no further content is coming.
