Super Fancy Pants Adventure

Super Fancy Pants Adventure launched on September 20, 2017 and received a post-launch content update in December 2017 (The Arcade, adding multiplayer modes and minigames). The game then entered a long quiet period, during which the developer — Brad Borne — shifted focus to a companion product, The Fancy Pants Adventures: Classic Pack, which launched in Early Access in February 2024. In February 2024, a new publisher (2 Left Thumbs) took over stewardship of Super Fancy Pants Adventure. The new publisher noted they could not promise substantial new content at that time, as Brad's focus was on the Classic Pack. Throughout 2024, Brad worked on a major technical overhaul of Super Fancy Pants Adventure — upgrading the engine, assets, and performance — though it proved far more complex than anticipated and created a development bottleneck. An August 2024 update confirmed Brad was still working through this, with a beta branch available to supporters. On March 14, 2026 — the 20th anniversary of the Fancy Pants franchise — the publisher delivered a significant update to Super Fancy Pants Adventure, completing the long-running technical overhaul (4K assets, uncapped FPS, massively improved performance, and broader gamepad support). Alongside this, the publisher explicitly announced "plans to expand upon Super" and revealed a new franchise title, The Fancy Pants Adventures Online. The publisher concluded: "We have big plans for the future of Fancy Pants Man!" The game is fully purchasable and has received its most recent update in March 2026. The developer has explicitly stated that further content for Super is planned, making this an active and ongoing project.
