Surgeon Simulator: Experience Reality launched on December 5, 2016 as a VR adaptation of the original Surgeon Simulator. In the months following launch, Bossa Studios issued several patches refining VR controls and fixing bugs (December 2016 through March 2017). No new content was ever announced or released beyond these post-launch polish updates. The most recent developer communication was a bug fix on March 2, 2022, which resolved a black screen issue — nearly four years after the last substantive update. There have been no posts since that date, no DLC listings, no announced expansions or roadmap, and no signals of ongoing development. The store description references only content that shipped at launch. With no post-launch major content ever released for this title (the one "major_content" post in the news feed was for a completely separate Bossa Studios game, Worlds Adrift), no outstanding commitments, and developer communication having ceased as of March 2, 2022, the game is best understood as a finished product that has been fully delivered.
