Synth Riders

Synth Riders launched in October 2019 and has been in continuous, active development ever since. Kluge Interactive has shipped a relentless stream of paid music packs and substantial free feature updates across the game's lifetime, and there is no indication that pace is slowing. In 2025 alone, the developer released: the 80s Mixtape Side B (January 9, 2025), the Current Waves pack (March 6, 2025), The Smile's "Zero Sum" (July 2, 2025), the Infected Mushroom pack (August 7, 2025), the Kendrick Lamar Experience (September 4, 2025), and a large Lady Gaga pack with 10 tracks (December 18, 2025). In 2026, the cadence has continued: Queen's "We Are The Champions" (January 29), the Dua Lipa pack with four tracks (April 16), the 5-song Crypt of the NecroDancer pack (May 14), a massive 13-song Linkin Park pack (June 25), and a multiplayer feature patch (July 20, 2026) — less than a month before today's date. On the feature side, the developer launched what it called "the biggest feature update in Synth Riders' history" — the Level UP progression system — on March 12, 2026, describing it explicitly as "a foundation for what's yet to come" and affirming "continued investment in Synth Riders" and "a long-term commitment to its players." The store description notes "127 optional paid DLC tracks" with named artists including Linkin Park, Lady Gaga, Gorillaz, Bruno Mars, Queen, and Dua Lipa, and over 80 free songs in the base game. No future content has been announced by name at this time, but the multi-year, multi-pack-per-year release history makes it clear this game is being actively developed and expanded.
