Tale of Wuxia: The Pre-Sequel launched on August 14, 2017. At launch, the developer (Heluo Studio & Phoenix Game) promised continued updates for both bugs and content. In the weeks following release, they delivered several hotfix patches addressing early bugs, and on November 9, 2017, they shipped the game's only DLC — 幽冥路 — completing the post-launch content cycle. An untitled development status post from November 6, 2017 appears to be associated with the DLC release window. All DLC in the store listing is marked as released. After November 2017, there is no record of further developer communications, content announcements, or patch activity across the roughly 8.5 years to the present date of June 27, 2026. The game launched as a complete, story-driven CRPG with no live service elements, no battle pass, no seasonal content, and no announced future expansions beyond what has already shipped. The content for this game is complete.

Your character can not only learn Arts itself, but also invite multiple members into the squad and select their skills. The brand-new Squad-combat Mode and Jianghu Tales Mode randomize the gameplay, different squad-members and talents grant you various tactics.
