The Guild 3

The Guild 3 exited Early Access and launched as version 1.0 on June 14, 2022. Following the launch, the developer published a dev diary on August 2, 2022 confirming that the collaboration with developer Purple Lamp was ending with the upcoming patch 1.0.4 (targeting end of August / early September 2022). That post also mentioned THQ Nordic's intention to eventually add a map editor, but explicitly noted they were making no promises beyond eventually delivering that feature at some unspecified future point. There have been no further developer posts about The Guild 3 itself after August 2022. The map editor mentioned in that post was never formally announced as committed DLC, came with explicit caveats ("we cannot and will not promise anything"), and was framed as a vague aspiration rather than a committed roadmap item. No DLC beyond the soundtrack has been listed on the store, and no post-launch content has shipped. The developer's recent activity (2025–2026) has been entirely focused on a new title in the franchise, *The Guild – Europa 1410*, developed by Ashborne Games, which entered Early Access on July 16, 2026. This successor title effectively represents where ongoing Guild franchise development has moved. There is no indication that The Guild 3 will receive further updates. With one major release milestone (the 1.0 launch), a clear developer communication that Purple Lamp's work was concluding with patch 1.0.4, and no further announcements or content since, The Guild 3 is a complete product. The completion date is estimated as September 1, 2022, reflecting when patch 1.0.4 — the final stated update — was expected to ship.
