The Imagined Leviathan: Prologue

The Imagined Leviathan: Prologue launched on September 23, 2020 as a free 20-minute experience. In February 2021, the developer (Chard) announced plans to expand it into a full game called "Imagined Leviathans," promising 2-3 hours of gameplay, an open world, and multiple survivor characters to meet. Throughout early 2021, the developer posted regular updates showing new locations, a redesigned world map centered on Steelhenge, and narrative branches tied to different NPCs — all pointing to active work on the full game. The store description still prominently advertises this upcoming full game as of today. However, the last developer communication of any kind was on May 10, 2021. The full game "Imagined Leviathans" has never been released, and the developer has posted nothing — no updates, no delays, no explanations — in the more than five years since. The prologue itself remains free and available on Steam, but the promised full game it was meant to lead into shows no sign of arriving. Anyone who played the prologue in anticipation of the full experience should be aware that its status is highly uncertain.
