The Last Blade is a port of SNK's classic 1997 Neo Geo fighting game, released on Steam on August 31, 2016. The game launched as a complete, self-contained package — a straight port of the original arcade title with all its original content intact, online multiplayer, and leaderboards added for the Steam release. Developer activity after launch was minimal: a single bug-fix patch (v1.0.1) shipped on September 5, 2016 to address a crash in the command list menu. The only DLC ever released is a standalone soundtrack pack that arrived on January 25, 2023 — a cosmetic add-on with no bearing on the game's content completeness. There have been no developer communications of any kind beyond that initial patch, no roadmaps, no announced expansions, and no unreleased content listed on the store. This is a finished product. It launched as a complete game and has received no post-launch content updates. Anyone waiting to play a "complete" version of The Last Blade can do so now — the game has been in its final state since its 2016 release.

MAIN FEATURES

Pick a fighter from the 12 (+2 boss) characters available, and select between the simple and highly-damaging "Power" mode, or the technical and deep "Speed" game mechanic. Challenge and defeat all 10 opponents who will stand in your way, and learn more about your character's story via the splendid game endings!
