Evaluation
The Purge Dilemma launched as a free-to-play social deduction game on June 26, 2023. After launch, the developer shipped a consistent stream of updates: feature patches in July and August 2023, achievements and stats in September 2023, and then the major "Viva La Purgación!" update on January 6, 2024, which added a new scenario, a shop, cosmetic character models, and an in-game economy using Loyalty Points. The developer explicitly noted in that update that they had "pretty much added all of the features we intended to add from the release." A final feature patch followed on March 31, 2024 (version 1.4.2), adding lobby options, a vote history window, and balance changes. There have been no developer communications since March 31, 2024 — over 14 months of silence as of today. The developer's own statement in January 2024 signaled that their planned feature work was complete, and the March 2024 patch appears to be the finishing touch. The single DLC listed is a released soundtrack (August 6, 2023), with no unreleased DLC on the store. No future content has been announced. The game appears to have reached its intended finished state.

PLAY AS

- Step into the shoes of the dictator himself and carefully observe the behaviour of the players involved in a Commissariat.
- Gather as much information as possible in your notebook and unmask the dissidents sitting at the Committee table.
- Distribute special permits to the members of the Committee so that they may assist you in uncovering the dissidents. But careful! It would be a great waste if you gave that special permit to a traitor!
- Keep an eye on your paranoia: when the limit is reached you will be forced to pick the victims of your purges.
- Choose your victims carefully: leaving a dissident alive will cost you the entire game!

- Prove your innocence to the members of the Committee so that you may be chosen as a member of the Commissariat.
- Finish the tasks chosen by the Commissar to keep the Tyrant's paranoia at bay and be rewarded with special permits.
- Make use of the special permits given to you by the Tyrant to gather further information on the other members of the Committee.
- If you have a clear conscience all you have to do is prove to the Tyrant that you are not the one to kill.

- Prove your (false) innocence to the members of the Committee so that you may be chosen as a member of the Commissariat.
- Sabotage the tasks assigned to a Commissariat to raise the Tyrant's paranoia uncontrollably.
- Maintain a low profile! Sabotaging is risky and will only shrink the bubble around you.
