TheNightfall

TheNightfall launched on January 12, 2018 as a self-contained atmospheric horror experience. Following launch, the developer shipped a series of updates through 2018: language additions (Russian in January, Chinese in March), a gameplay patch in April, Virtual Reality support for HTC Vive in May (Version 1.4), a timed Halloween special mode in October (Version 1.5), and a Christmas special in December (Version 1.6). The only DLC ever released is a soundtrack pack, which shipped on February 28, 2018 and has no unreleased follow-ups. The last developer communication of any kind was the Version 1.6 Christmas update on December 23, 2018. There have been no posts, patches, announcements, or roadmaps since that date — now over seven years ago. The developer never announced any future content after Version 1.6, and the store description presents the game as a complete, single-night horror narrative with no suggestion of ongoing expansions or updates. The game launched as a finished product and received a modest post-launch polish cycle that concluded at the end of 2018.
