Evaluation

Train Crew is a Japanese train simulation game that has been in Early Access since September 30, 2021, and remains under very active development by Mizotsuki Rail / acty. The game continues to receive frequent updates right through September 2026. Three major content milestones have shipped in 2026: the early model 3000 Series train (February 10, 2026), a major overhaul of the scenario system into packs with 28 new timetables (June 13, 2026), and the "Unusual Route Scenario Add-on Pack" adding another 28 timetables (July 2, 2026). Substantial feature patches followed throughout the year, including a timetable revision and sound overhaul (May 1, 2026), controller support additions (April 2, 2026), and UI improvements (July 3, September 2, 2026). The most recent update was posted on September 2, 2026. The developer has explicitly communicated ongoing plans. A November 2025 post announced that limited express rolling stock is planned as the next major feature after coupling was implemented. The June 2026 update noted that total scenarios are expected to reach nearly 190 (up from the ~70+ that existed before the pack restructuring), indicating significant content additions are still planned. There has been no announcement of a 1.0 release date or any indication that development is winding down.

About this game

Train operation is performed by tilting the handle called a master controller back and forth.

Push it toward you to accelerate, and push it back to brake. Basically, you can proceed with the game only with this movement.

In addition, you can perform various operations such as horns, buzzer to contact the conductor, and switching viewpoints.

You can also check your driving rating after driving.

The conductor opens and closes doors, makes in-train announcements, and conducts safety checks.

The Tatehama Electric Railway main line connects Otebashi Station to Tatehama Station. At present, the line can operate up and down 28 km of this line from Akayamacho Station to Tatehama Station.
