TurretGirls launched on August 25, 2025 and has received a strong stream of free content over its first year. Two major updates shipped post-launch: Raven (a new playable character with her own mechanics, 81 clothing items, and a new meta-progression shop) arrived on April 17, 2026, and Content Update #3 on June 25, 2026 added a new stage (Midnight Siege), a new enemy type and boss, 32 new difficulty challenges via the Crisis Levels system, 10 legendary weapons, and more. On August 25, 2026 — the game's first anniversary — the developer posted a major announcement confirming two more free updates are on the way. The next update will introduce multiplayer and a brand new playable character (shown in a teaser image). After that, a second update is planned for Q4 2026 to polish multiplayer and make final improvements. The developer also teased a "big announcement" in the near future related to ways for players to further support the game. This is a clear, direct commitment from the developer to specific upcoming content, so anyone waiting for the game to be "done" should expect at least two more updates before the development cycle concludes.
