Unbox: Newbie's Adventure launched on September 5, 2016 as a complete 3D platformer with a full single-player campaign and local multiplayer. In the weeks following launch, Prospect Games was actively engaged — shipping a free Ancient Shrine multiplayer map on September 15, 2016, and releasing several bug-fix patches through early 2017. On July 26, 2017, the game released on PS4 and Xbox One, and Steam players received a free update that added two new multiplayer maps (Skylane and Solar) along with optimizations and bug fixes. A final bug-fix patch followed on August 21, 2017. Since that August 2017 patch, there have been no further developer communications, patches, or content updates of any kind. The only DLC listed is the game's soundtrack, which released alongside the game on September 5, 2016. The store description describes a complete, self-contained experience with no mention of future content. With nearly nine years of silence since the last update (August 21, 2017) and no outstanding commitments, the game is a finished product.

Find and complete challenges on each world to earn stamps and, once you have enough, it’s time to take on Boss Wild! Using the power of Unreal Engine 4, the world of Unbox: Newbie's Adventure is filled with physics fun: buildings will crumble and boxes will tumble in this explosive adventure!
