Vigor is a free-to-play looter shooter developed by Bohemia Interactive that launched on Steam on September 18, 2024, after a period of Early Access. The game operates as a live service title with a seasonal Battle Pass structure — each major update introduces a new named season, new weapons, new maps or arenas, seasonal events, and rotating premium cosmetic packs.
Since its full Steam release, Bohemia Interactive has shipped major seasonal updates at a consistent roughly-quarterly cadence: Update 21.0 (Bloodline) on December 4, 2024; Update 22.0 (Meltdown) on April 10, 2025; Update 23.0 (Turmoil) on June 25, 2025; Update 24.0 (Tempest) on September 10, 2025; and Update 25.0 (Pursuit) on November 26, 2025. The most recent major update was on November 26, 2025, and the pattern shows no sign of slowing down. Each update brings new Battle Pass seasons, new weapons, new gameplay events, and premium monetized content — hallmarks of an ongoing live service game. A new DLC pack (Wraith of The North) was also released as recently as June 25, 2025.

Join the game that has been played by over 20 million players and explore the harsh and unforgiving Outlands, the shattered remains of what was once Norway. Utilize any means necessary to survive. Set in a post-apocalyptic atmosphere in the early 90s, the landscape of the Outlands is as deadly as it is beautiful, so be careful out there.
Experience the thrills that Encounters have to offer, a high-stakes mode where survival is key. Extract the most valuable resources in order to build and upgrade your Shelter, or lose everything if you die!
Choose over 60 different weapons and consumables to customize your loadout based on the play style of your choice - sneaky looter or deadly shooter. Change the pace of the Encounter and gain an advantage over your enemies by controlling tactical points on the map.
Compete for Loot Events, special places that hold more valuable loot, and try to retrieve the Airdrop, the most precious haul in the Outlands. We dare you! Escape from specific exits at any time and avoid the deadly radiation cloud that sweeps over the map, killing everyone trapped inside it.
Play alone in Shootout, a fast-paced deathmatch, or join a squad with your friends in Elimination, a 5v5 tactical, round-based teamfight. In Encounter, you can team up with a friend as a Duo, or compete as a Lone Wolf where the risk vs. reward factor is greater as you square off against other squads on your own!
Identify as one of many groups of Outlanders that inhabit this broken world through various cosmetic sets. Choose between military, non-military and everything in between to instill fear in the hearts of your opponents.
Your Shelter is your safe haven in the apocalypse and your central hub for information. By collecting resources from Encounters, you can build and upgrade your Shelter, which will, in turn, provide you with more options (craft better weapons and consumables, generate Crowns and other materials) that will be essential to your survival. Practice your marksmanship in the Shooting Range, craft your necessary equipment in the Armory, and customize your character from the wardrobe while you keep building your Shelter to maximize its potential.
