VRZ: Torment launched on May 18, 2017 and received a steady stream of feature patches throughout 2017 and into 2018-2019. The developer shipped regular updates covering new hardware support (bHaptics, HardlightVR), gameplay improvements (reworked gunplay, COOP mode, redesigned Arcade mode), and engine upgrades. The most recent developer communication on record is Update 4.6.0, posted on March 17, 2019, which updated the game engine and added LAN mode support for arcade partners. There have been no developer posts of any kind since March 17, 2019 — over seven years of silence as of today. No DLC has ever been listed for the game, no future content was announced in the final update, and the June 2017 teaser post (NEWS-5) describing planned features like weapon crafting and bullet penetration was never followed up on after 2019. The game appears to have launched as a finished single-player/arcade VR experience and quietly wound down post-support after the March 2019 engine update. There is no evidence of planned future content.

Click on "Games" from the "Libary" menu tab.
Put your mouse cursor on "VRZ: Torment", right click and choose "Properties".
Select "Betas" tab.
Write in the following password: password54321
Klick on "Check Code".
From top down menu choose "vrarcade - VR Arcade".
Select "Close". Arcade modifier should now start downloading and modifying the game.
You now have to wait until downloading and installing have completed.
This will revert you back to old version and everything should work as before.

The Far Watchers own this diseased island and have infected you with their Animus, a machine that holds you together, and one that aims to kill the death inside you! They’ve created this hell to test you, their weapons, and all their other damnable creations. Their cameras both seen and unseen track your every movement throughout this swamped and accursed place, and their flitting shadows move just beyond the edge of observation. They have given you a second life, and it is for you to find out how and why.
