Windstorm: Start of a Great Friendship

Windstorm: Start of a Great Friendship originally launched on July 27, 2017, and received one substantive post-launch update on November 29, 2017, which added new missions, difficulty settings, controller support, and various improvements. That appears to have been the final content update for this original version of the game. In April 2024, the developer announced a full remaster — Windstorm: Start of a Great Friendship – Remastered — rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5 with updated graphics, new animations, a photo mode, and new achievements. That remaster launched as a separate Steam product on June 20, 2024, with its own store page. No further content updates have been announced or shipped for this original 2017 release since that remaster announcement. The developer's energy and communications have shifted entirely to the remaster and a new title (Windstorm: The Legend of Khiimori). The original game is a complete, self-contained product. Players looking for the updated experience are directed to the separately listed Remastered edition.
