Unbridled: That Horse Game entered Steam Early Access on February 19, 2025 and remains firmly in active Early Access development. Mind Evotion Games has maintained a consistent and transparent communication cadence throughout, publishing regular devlogs that detail work-in-progress features. The game has received major updates including 0.2.0.0 on May 31, 2025 (farming, feed production, stable overhaul) and 0.2.2.0 on October 6, 2025 (seasons, reworked chopping mechanics, gameplay polish). The large upcoming Update 0.3.0.0 was announced via a public roadmap in September 2025 and has been covered by continuous devlog posts ever since. Development hit some delays — the studio openly explained in February 2026 that business challenges (tax regulations, bureaucratic hurdles as an international studio based in Hungary) and the significant scope of reworking the core horse model pushed the originally planned February 2026 release back. Development has continued steadily regardless. The most recent activity shows the team is very much pushing forward: a public playtest for 0.3.0.0 launched on August 28, 2026, and Devlog #17 on September 13, 2026 reported the team had returned from Gamescom and was actively processing playtest feedback. That post describes specific planned changes to controls, jumping systems, animations, and a new paddock feature — and explicitly states that "there are a lot more abilities planned" for the game beyond what is in 0.3.0.0.
