Zoo Simulator launched on Steam on July 26, 2024 as a complete 1.0 release. Following launch, the developer issued two bug-fix patches in quick succession (July 30 and August 6, 2024) to address player-reported issues, but there have been no major content updates to the game itself since then.
The developer's post-launch activity has shifted to console ports: the game arrived on Xbox Series X|S on March 26, 2026, and on PlayStation 5 on May 8, 2026. These platform expansions are the only "major content" entries in the developer's news history, and they represent the game reaching new audiences rather than new content being added to the game itself.
