Pet Shop Simulator: Prologue is a free, limited preview of the full Pet Shop Simulator game. It was always designed and communicated as a sampler — not a standalone product with its own ongoing content roadmap. The store description explicitly states it is "only part of the full game," with certain animals, products, and features intentionally locked to encourage players to purchase the full version. The prologue launched on April 16, 2024, received a handful of feedback-driven patches in April–May 2024 (including a gameplay limit removal and a model improvement), and then the full game launched on June 21, 2024.
