Evaluation

Assetto Corsa Rally entered Steam Early Access on November 13, 2025 and has maintained a consistent and rapid cadence of major content updates roughly every 5–8 weeks since launch. Four major updates have shipped: Update 0.2 on December 18, 2025 (new car, ice circuit, snow physics), Update 0.3 on February 26, 2026 (laser-scanned Monte-Carlo Rally, two new stages, dynamic snow, two new cars), Update 0.4 on April 30, 2026 (two more cars, snow added to Alsace and Wales), and Update 0.5 on June 29, 2026 (Rally Greece with two new laser-scanned stages, online multiplayer Phase One, major physics overhaul). A follow-up patch 0.5.1 arrived on July 16, 2026 with further fixes and environment improvements. The most recent developer communication was on July 16, 2026, and the Update 0.5 notes explicitly named several features still coming: tire and brake thermal dynamics, tire wear, advanced suspension setups for rough surfaces, expansion of the dynamic ideal line to Wales, Alsace, and Livigno, and further multiplayer development (the current online mode is labeled "Phase One"). The developer also announced a renewed long-term collaboration with tire simulation company MegaRide for continued vehicle dynamics work, and described ACR as "a continuously evolving simulator." Development is clearly ongoing and active, with specific future content already communicated.

About Assetto Corsa Rally

Assetto Corsa Rally delivers an uncompromising rally simulation that captures the raw intensity and precision of the sport. Developed by Supernova in technical partnership with Kunos Simulazioni, AC Rally was developed on the base of Assetto Corsa’s acclaimed physics engine, specifically refined for the needs of this motorsports discipline, and a customized build of Unreal Engine 5.

AC Rally introduces a rally-specific chapter to the Assetto Corsa franchise, designed to deliver a demanding and immersive experience where weather, road, and car setups all matter and dedicated driver training and skills are a key element to succeed in driving.

From the gravel stages of Wales to the tarmac stages of Alsace, AC Rally introduces 3D laser-scanned stages & meticulously modelled vehicles, professional co-driver support, and realistic dynamics for FWD, RWD, and AWD vehicles. Every second on the road is a high-stakes challenge, where surface grip, weather, and time of day constantly impact your every decision.

Launching into Early Access with an initial set of 10 licensed cars, 4 rally stages, from the real world of rallies, plus offline and online game modes, AC Rally invites players to master the precision of rally racing while shaping the future of the game with their feedback.

EARLY ACCESS 0.6

Assetto Corsa Rally 0.6 expands the roster with three cars spanning 38 years of rallying history, introduces private lobbies for more control over your online sessions, and delivers the first step towards modding support with multiple custom livery management. Photo Mode arrives alongside a broad evolution of the driving model across all surfaces.

This is a release about more ways to experience the stages: more cars, more ways to play online, and more ways to make the game your own.

THREE NEW CARS – The 1980 Audi Quattro Gr.4 is the car that redefined rallying with permanent four-wheel drive and a turbocharged five-cylinder. The 1999 Peugeot 206 WRC is the raw early version of a car that would dominate the early 2000s. The 2018 Volkswagen Polo GTI R5 completes the trio: engineered for customer teams, quick without being difficult to drive.

PRIVATE LOBBIES – Full control over your online sessions. Create and manage your own races with the players you choose.

CUSTOM LIVERIES – Multiple custom liveries are now supported. Save your favourites and switch between them from the in-game menu. First step towards broader modding support.

PHOTO MODE – Available from within the race, replay, service park and main menu.
