Torque Drift

Torque Drift launched on April 20, 2021 and has been in continuous active development ever since. The game is structured as a live service: it features a rotating in-game shop with purchasable crates, limited-time seasonal events (Christmas Crates, Halloween content, chase challenges with time-limited rewards), and regularly added cars, tracks, engine parts, and wheels. This monetized content cycle has been running since before the Steam launch and shows no signs of stopping. Major content updates have shipped at a consistent cadence throughout the game's life. Recent highlights include Version 2.30.0 on June 16, 2025 (new sponsor tree, GR86, carbon parts, two new track layouts), Version 2.31.0 on July 22, 2025 (new LZ Compound track with 7 layouts, Adam LZ BMW E36, new sponsor trees), a Subaru BRZ ZD8 drop on September 24, 2025, and a KONIG wheels update on October 29, 2025. As recently as December 10, 2025, the developer posted explicitly: "This will be the last server update for the year, we look forward to bringing you more next year" — a clear statement of planned continuation into 2026. The developer also announced Torque Drift 2 in October 2024, but this has not slowed updates to Torque Drift 1; the game continued to receive significant updates well after that announcement, confirming that both titles are being supported. With 42 released DLC packs, a steady stream of free in-game content updates, time-limited events, rotating shop items, and an explicit developer commitment to ongoing updates, Torque Drift is a fully operational live service game with no indication of development winding down.
