Karting Superstars

Karting Superstars launched into Early Access on September 13, 2023. The developer, Original Fire Games, shipped a handful of updates through early 2024 — including a new track (Cherry Drive, October 31, 2023), online collision support and a new gameplay system (December 12, 2023), and a spectator mode beta (February 22, 2024). The last game update was on February 20, 2024. On October 9, 2025, the developer published a direct statement explaining the situation: development was paused at the start of 2024 because the game's revenue was not sufficient to sustain the team. The studio pivoted to contract work and then to developing iRacing Arcade, which has been their focus ever since. They explicitly acknowledged that Karting Superstars "hasn't yet received enough of our time to be a finished product" and expressed their intention to return to finish it — but with no timeline attached. This means the game remains in Early Access in an incomplete state, with the developer's attention currently on a different project. The studio has been transparent about the situation, and their intent to eventually complete the game appears genuine, but there is no committed schedule or concrete plan for when development will resume. Anyone considering a purchase should be aware that meaningful updates may be some time away.
