Evaluation
Blade Assault launched into full 1.0 release on January 17, 2022, graduating from Early Access. At launch, the developer (TeamSuneat) posted an enthusiastic roadmap of planned post-launch content including new characters (Jett and Mari), new weapons, new bosses, new cores, and additional game modes. True to that promise, the April 2022 update (v1.2) delivered the new playable character Zett (referred to as "Jett" in earlier posts), the drone upgrade system, and new NPCs — a substantial content addition. Following that, the team shipped a series of balance and feature patches through July 2022, with the final recorded communication being a bug fix on July 28, 2022.
Since July 28, 2022, there have been no further developer posts of any kind. The original launch roadmap promised additional characters (Mari was specifically shown by name and artwork) and other content beyond what shipped in the April update, but none of that content ever arrived, and the developer has been silent for nearly four years. The one DLC on the store is a soundtrack that released on January 18, 2022 — no gameplay DLC was ever listed. There are no unreleased DLC entries.
The pattern here is clear: the developer shipped one major post-launch content update in April 2022, followed by maintenance patches, then went completely silent. The promises of further characters like Mari and additional bosses were never fulfilled, but given nearly four years of total silence and no outstanding store listings or announcements, there is no credible basis to expect further content. The game's post-launch content cycle ended with the July 2022 bug fix, making that the practical completion point for the game as it exists today.
Evidence
Major v1.2 update shipped delivering new playable character Zett, the drone upgrade system, new NPCs Randolph and Jack, and 12 new danger level abilities — fulfilling the core of the January launch roadmap.
At 1.0 launch, developer explicitly promised continued post-launch content: new characters Jett and Mari, new weapons, new bosses, new cores, drones, and a challenge mode.
