Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® II

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II launched on October 22, 2022 as a complete package featuring a single-player campaign, multiplayer, and Special Ops. The store description makes no mention of ongoing seasonal content, battle passes, or post-launch content updates for this title. The only DLC listed is a "DMZ Beta" released on July 29, 2025, which appears to be an archival or legacy item rather than evidence of active new content development for the game. All six developer news posts on this Steam page are focused exclusively on promoting Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, the next game in the series, which has an announced launch date of October 23, 2026 and recently completed a two-weekend open beta (August 21 – September 1, 2026). Infinity Ward and Activision have clearly moved development focus to the next installment. There are no announcements of new content, expansions, patches, or updates planned for Modern Warfare II itself.
