Call of Duty®

Call of Duty on Steam is an actively running live service platform that has been expanding continuously since its October 2022 launch. It currently hosts Black Ops 7, Warzone, and is preparing to add Modern Warfare 4 later in 2026. The seasonal content machine is running at full speed. Black Ops 7 Season 05 launched on July 23, 2026, bringing new multiplayer maps (including the brand-new Jubilee and two remastered maps), new weapons, a new Zombies survival map, and a new Warzone battle royale mode called Black Ops Royale. The Season 05 mid-season Reloaded update — confirmed for August 20, 2026 — delivers additional content including the Rex Infernus Zombies map (the finale of the Black Ops 7 Zombies storyline), the Turbo Tilt multiplayer map, and a new Freerun course. Looking ahead, Modern Warfare 4 has been officially confirmed for an October 23, 2026 global release on Steam, with Campaign Early Access beginning October 16 for digital pre-order customers. Developer announcements from June 2026 detail an entirely new DMZ extraction mode set in the Hajin Exclusion Zone, and a Call of Duty: NEXT showcase for the game was announced on August 14, 2026, with an Early Access Beta and Open Beta also confirmed. This is a full new title being added to the platform within months. The DLC list — now 47 items — includes BlackCell Season 04 (June 4, 2026) and BlackCell Season 05 (July 23, 2026), confirming the ongoing monetized battle pass structure. The most recent DLC item released on July 23, 2026. The store description explicitly describes Call of Duty Points as in-game currency used to obtain new content across multiple titles, and Warzone is described as an ever-evolving free-to-play combat arena. Season 06 of Black Ops 7 and Warzone is referenced in the Season 05 announcements (with Endgame transitioning at its start), confirming the seasonal cycle will continue beyond Season 05. This is a platform with no endpoint in sight, structured around perpetual seasonal releases, monetized cosmetic content, and annual game title additions.
