Champion Shift launched into full release (version 1.0) on June 21, 2024, after a period in Early Access. Following launch, the developer shipped one notable content update — the Joan of Arc champion — on July 25, 2024, along with a follow-up balance patch on July 31, 2024.
On December 7, 2024, the developer (SRG Studios) published an end-of-year letter to players with a candid admission: the game did not perform as well as hoped commercially, and as a result, most of the team has had to pivot to other projects to sustain the studio. They acknowledged that updates and fixes have slowed significantly. While the letter expressed ongoing passion for the game and described it as a "long-term goal," it stopped short of announcing any specific upcoming content or timeline.
Since that December 7, 2024 post, there has been no further communication from the developer — no patches, no announcements, and no updates of any kind as of June 21, 2026. Given that the studio itself flagged reduced capacity and the team's attention shifting elsewhere, combined with more than 18 months passing since any new content shipped and over six months of total silence since the last developer post, the game's future update trajectory is genuinely unclear. The developer has not said development is over, but they also have not confirmed anything specific is in the pipeline.

While escaping from captivity, our heroes got their hands on some sweet Dominion tech, which combined with their weapon relics, gives them the ability to transform into powerful vehicles and weapons. This VERY unique take on the genre opens up countless strategies for you and your friends to try out.
