Citrouille: Sweet Witches launched on November 4, 2018 as a complete arcade platformer. The developer shipped one significant post-launch content update on August 23, 2019, which added the two antagonist characters (Anis and Reglisse) as playable in the story mode, introduced new enemies, a new boss, new achievements, and a new campaign explaining their backstory. This update directly fulfilled a teaser from July 27, 2019 hinting at a story reveal "coming soon." A further quality-of-life addition in October 2019 enabled Steam's Remote Play Together feature for online play. Since October 2019, there have been no developer communications of any kind — no patch notes, announcements, or roadmap posts. The game has no unreleased DLC listed on the store, no season pass, and no outstanding content commitments. The developer has not signaled any further content plans. Given that the last meaningful content shipped on August 23, 2019, and developer communications ceased shortly thereafter, the game appears to have reached its completed state as of that update.

Citrouille: Sweet Witches is an arcade platformer featuring adorable little witches on a quest for candy. Despite the childish appearance, the gameplay is merciless. There is no jump, you have to rely on your magic ladders, spells and power ups to get through. Brave the danger, face your nemesis, cover the world with flowers and claim the treats you deserve!
Story Mode:
Play as Praline or Vanille, the two main characters, through 50+ levels within 5+ unique worlds. If going through the quest on your own feels too hard, you can cooperate with a friend on a shared screen. But beware, for both players share the same life counter. Also, your spells and weapons make no difference between friends and foes.Versus Mode:
Two to four players can face each others on a shared screen. Anis and Reglisse, the two antagonists, are joining the fray to claim their share.There are two different modes with 5 unique arenas for each:
- Death match: the last one standing wins
- Time limit: the player with the most flowers on screen when the time is over wins
