Dead District: Survival

Dead District: Survival left Early Access and reached version 1.0 on June 15, 2023. Before that release, the developer published a public roadmap on May 27, 2023 outlining significant planned content: new locations, a fishing system, an advanced farming system, a skill system, new weapons, a temperature and disease system, water transport, and an entirely new map — spread across Summer 2023, Autumn 2023, and into 2024. However, the June 15, 2023 version 1.0 post is the last communication the developer has made. There have been no patch notes, blog posts, or announcements of any kind since that date. As of June 22, 2026, the studio has been completely silent for over three years — far beyond the roughly monthly update cadence the game maintained throughout Early Access (September 2022 through June 2023). None of the content items described in the roadmap have been confirmed as shipped in any subsequent post. This leaves the game in an unclear state: meaningful future content was publicly promised and never delivered or formally cancelled, and the developer has not communicated with players in years. The game is purchasable and the store page remains live, but whether development is continuing, paused, or has ended entirely is unknown.
