Doodle God Blitz launched on September 1, 2017 and received a steady wave of DLC content throughout 2017 and 2018, with 17 DLC packs in total. The final piece of content — "Go Santa Go!" — shipped on April 18, 2019. All 17 DLC entries in the store are marked as released, and no unreleased DLC exists in the listing.
Since April 2019, the developer (JoyBits Ltd.) has not published any news posts, updates, or announcements for Doodle God Blitz itself. The developer's recent activity on Steam has been entirely focused on promoting new titles — Bouncemasters, Bouncemasters 2, Worlds Builder, Idle Craft, and Flow Legends — none of which are related to Doodle God Blitz. A December 2021 announcement mentioned a new Doodle God game in 3D (a separate product on a different Steam page), confirming the studio moved on from this title to build a successor rather than continue updating it.
There have been no announcements of future content for Doodle God Blitz, no unreleased DLC, and no developer communications about the game in over six years. The game launched as a complete puzzle experience and all announced content has shipped. It can be considered a finished product.
