Evaluation
Drop Alive launched on December 6, 2016 as a free-to-play puzzle platformer. In the weeks following launch, the developer was active — shipping two feature patches and several bug fixes through January 2017, and adding intro/outro cinematics. The sole DLC listing is the Deluxe Edition, which released on launch day and contains cosmetic extras (skins, soundtrack, artwork) rather than new levels — it was not a content expansion.
On June 22, 2017, the developer posted a summer sale announcement that mentioned they were "working on some new projects" and "hopefully we'll keep improving Drop Alive soon." That post is the last official communication from the developer. The December 2016 launch post had mentioned a future content DLC with more levels, but no such DLC was ever announced or released, and the developer's final post shifted that language to a vague "hopefully" — suggesting the planned expansion did not move forward.
There have been no developer communications of any kind since June 22, 2017 — nearly nine years of silence. No roadmap, no further updates, no new DLC, and no announcement of additional content has materialized. The game shipped as a complete 12-level experience and has received no substantive content additions beyond the day-one polish patches. The original promise of a future level DLC was never fulfilled and has not been reaffirmed, making it reasonable to treat the game's content as settled.
