Evaluation
Generation Streets launched as a free-to-play game on February 10, 2020, with a single paid DLC ("Global Access") that also released on the same day, unlocking the full world map beyond the free version's limited territory. The developer — a solo indie developer — was actively shipping updates leading up to and just after launch: a new visual style and gameplay overhaul in September 2019, rural area improvements in January 2020, a 3D model export tool in February 2020, and a community edits filter alongside the release of the game's source code on June 19, 2020. That June 19, 2020 pair of posts represents the last recorded developer communication. Since then — nearly six years as of June 2026 — there have been no further updates, announcements, or developer posts of any kind. The single DLC was released on launch day and is fully shipped. The game launched as a finished product with a clear, complete content structure (free base game + one paid unlock DLC), and the developer's post-launch activity has fully ceased. The game is complete.

About this game
What if we take a real-world map and make all the buildings three-dimensional? And then draw textures on them and add some trees, power lines and other visual garbage? That's what:

Load your hometown, find your home and this casual game will start giving you very unexpected impressions. In the free version of the game, only limited territories are available.
Warning: although most places have a relatively high level of detail, it's impossible to render objects exactly as they look in the real world due to map inconsistencies or a lack of geodata, especially in rural areas. Do not expect a 100-percent match. Places will look recognizable but no more. Also, some places are just completely missing on the map and will be not rendered.
