Evaluation

Getaway Storm launched on February 7, 2020 and has been receiving regular updates ever since. Looking at the major content releases: a day/night cycle update shipped on May 18, 2024; split-screen mode arrived on June 19, 2024; a large v1.2.0.0 update with a new car and boost mechanics landed on January 3, 2025; and a new Rugatti car was added on October 6, 2025. This establishes a clear pattern of meaningful content additions roughly every 3–7 months. On top of that, the developer has continued shipping feature patches and bug fixes — most recently on February 15–19, 2026 — showing active ongoing engagement with the game. No specific future content has been announced, but the developer has not indicated that development is winding down either, and we are currently about 8 months past the last major content release, which is within the established cadence window for this game.
