Evaluation
Half Dead (the original) launched on August 1, 2016 and received several post-launch updates, including new game modes and regional server additions through at least July 2017. The developer's focus then shifted to Half Dead 2, which received a major update on May 6, 2019 and officially released on August 2, 2019. By August 2021, the studio announced and launched Half Dead 3 into Early Access, signaling that the franchise had moved on to its next entry. There have been no updates or communications directed at the original Half Dead game since 2019 at the latest, and no unreleased DLC or announced future content exists for it. The developer's activity has been entirely focused on Half Dead 3 since August 2021. The original game launched as a complete product and any post-launch additions wrapped up by the time the sequel's full release cycle concluded. It is a finished game with no outstanding content commitments.
