Evaluation
Hero Generations launched on April 10, 2015 and received several content updates in its first year, including free content packs like "Explorers" (June 2015) and the Halloween-themed "Scare Pack" (October 2015). The developer then shifted focus to a full remake of the game — Hero Generations: ReGen — which launched on August 23, 2016. At that point, the developer explicitly updated the original game's store page to direct new players to ReGen, permanently reduced the price of the original, and framed ReGen as the definitive experience. No further content updates for the original Hero Generations have been posted since August 2016. The store description makes clear this is a legacy product being preserved for existing owners, with all new development having moved to ReGen. The original game is complete as it stood at launch of ReGen on August 23, 2016.
Evidence
Hero Generations: ReGen launched as the ultimate remake. The original game received a permanent price reduction and the store page was updated to direct new players to ReGen, signaling the end of active development on the original.
Store description explicitly tells players this is the original 2015 release, recommends the remake (Hero Generations: ReGen) for new players, and describes the original as preserved for the existing community at a reduced price.
