Rencounter

Rencounter launched its 1.0 full release on November 4, 2016. At launch, the developer (SPVD) expressed enthusiasm for the community and outlined ambitions for future updates — including Linux/Mac versions, interface improvements, gamepad support, new items, talents, and enemies. They followed through on several of these promises: a Mac version shipped on December 7, 2016, a Linux version on January 19, 2017, and a handful of feature patches and balance updates arrived through mid-2017. The last recorded developer communication was a minor bug fix and French translation update on August 9, 2017. No developer posts, patches, announcements, or roadmap updates have appeared since that date. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no season pass, and no outstanding commitments visible on the store. The game has zero major content releases post-launch; the post-launch activity consisted entirely of smaller patches fulfilling the initial platform and polish promises made at 1.0. With the final update arriving on August 9, 2017 and no further communication from the developer in the nearly nine years since, the game appears to have reached the end of its active development cycle.
