Illusion launched on March 1, 2022 and received post-launch content and localization updates through late 2022, including a Korean release (May 19, 2022), DLC Korean translation (June 20, 2022), and Japanese localization (October 28, 2022). The studio experienced a financial crisis in March 2022 but publicly resolved 80% of its debt by March 30, 2022 and continued development. On February 23, 2024, the developer posted an explicit statement that the game would permanently stop updating, noting that all known issues had been resolved and thanking players for their support. This is an unambiguous developer declaration that development is complete. Both DLC items (the OST and the "Trust Test" content) were released at or near launch. The game remains available for purchase as a free-to-play title. No further content has been announced or is expected.

Players need to collect props and crack the mechanisms throughout the game scene to complete the game. In some levels, players need to control other auxiliary characters to complete the puzzle-solving task together, and finally escape from the dangerous laboratory.
