Istanbul: Digital Edition launched in October 2018 as a faithful digital adaptation of the award-winning board game. The game has received steady support from Acram Digital over the years, culminating in the release of its one announced expansion, Mocha & Baksheesh, on February 26, 2026. That DLC — which introduced Coffee as a new resource, new locations like the Coffee House and Guild Hall, and 20 Guild Cards — had been in active development and beta testing since mid-2024, with its release briefly delayed from late 2025 to February 2026 for quality reasons. Since the DLC shipped, the developer released two bug-fix patches: version 1.2.4 on March 31, 2026, and version 1.2.5 on April 28, 2026, both addressing issues specifically related to the new Mocha & Baksheesh content. The store description still references the DLC as "coming soon," but this is outdated copy — the DLC has been released and is listed as such in the store. There are no unshipped DLC entries, no announced future content, no developer roadmap pointing to additional expansions, and no sustained pattern of major content releases that would suggest further updates are in the pipeline. So what is the game about?
Can you be the first merchant to collect a certain number of rubies?
• 🕌 Run, collect, and trade goods across the bazaar
• 👳 Take control over your assistants
• 📦 Increase your wheelbarrow capacity
• 🧿 Acquire special abilities to increase the advantage over your competitors
• 💎 Buy rubies or trade goods for them
In Istanbul, you lead a group of one merchant and his four assistants through 16 locations in the bazaar. In each such location, you can carry out a specific action. The challenge, however, is that to take action, you must move your merchant and an assistant there, then leave the assistant behind to handle all the details while you focus on larger matters. If you want to use that assistant again later, your merchant must return to that location to pick him up. Thus, you must plan ahead carefully to avoid being left with no assistants and thus unable to do anything…
