Evaluation

Paint Drying Simulator launched on July 13, 2021 as a complete, self-contained novelty experience — a single 6-hour session of watching paint dry. The game has never had any major content expansions, announced future DLC, or roadmaps for additional features. The developer has posted a handful of bug fixes and small quality-of-life patches since launch, the most notable being a March 2, 2024 patch that added new free content (achievements, language support for Spanish and Japanese, and menu animation updates), followed by a couple of further bug fixes through February 1, 2025. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no outstanding developer commitments, and no statements indicating additional content is planned. The game appears to have shipped as a finished product and the developer's occasional patches have been maintenance and minor polish. The last developer communication was on February 1, 2025.
